Keep your head up, rain or shine
I am Baritiana and I am 19 years old. I am very sporty: I am a goalkeeper, I swim and I lift weights.
I like to spread positive vibes around me and help others in difficulty.
But sometimes, I must admit, I complain about life and ask myself so many questions that I can’t sleep.
I come from a family of farmers and ranchers. We live mainly from our crops.
I did not have an easy childhood. In 2017, my father was charged with theft. He spent 6 months in jail. Being still a minor, at that time, I could not visit him.
My father’s absence created an imbalance at home. It was not easy to find money for our daily expenses and to pay my father’s fine to get him out of jail.
Anyway, I got my bachelor’s degree and thanks to this event I became more mature.
In the hope of continuing my higher education, last year I worked in a call center. Unfortunately, I couldn’t hold on because not only did I have to work at night but also the pay was not motivating. I earned barely 15 euros per month.
Recently, I found another job that consists in ironing false eyelashes. This is not a joke 🙂 , this is exactly what I do. I don’t earn much, but I figure it’s already a good start to be able to save money and continue my studies.
