Failure is the beginning of great adventures
My name is Rinah and I am the oldest of 4 siblings. I’m passionate about soccer, whether it’s on TV, video games or on the field. I don’t really have any friends, and this has been the case since my childhood. I always used to play alone. I’m lucky to still have my parents, but they’ve always been very busy getting by and can’t really help me. All this made me become resourceful, especially by looking for odd jobs.
I decided not to depend on my parents anymore. Thanks to my night job in a beverage factory, I was able to start studying mechanics. But my path is not easy. I didn’t get my baccalaureate on the first try. Then, since there are no schools around my home, I had to walk at least 2 hours every day to go to school. Anyway, I am a tenacious person. I made the necessary efforts and I managed to get my high school diploma.
Currently, I am an apprentice mechanic, specializing in automobiles. My wish is to become a chief mechanic and have my own garage. I am halfway to realizing my dream. However, I am aware that I need internships to strengthen my skills but also tools to be able to practice this profession. In addition, I would still need to raise a significant amount of money to do so. Joining UCY is just the beginning of a great adventure for me and I really hope to go even further through the encounters I will have there.
